The Controller provides storage rental services under the trade name BOX24.

2. Purpose of Personal Data Processing

We process personal data primarily for the following purposes:

  • handling enquiries submitted through the contact form,

  • communicating with persons interested in renting storage space,

  • providing information about storage availability,

  • preparing quotations,

  • concluding and performing rental agreements,

  • issuing and maintaining accounting records,

  • complying with the Controller’s legal obligations.

3. Scope of Personal Data Processed

Depending on the purpose of processing, we may process the following personal data:

Contact Form

  • first and last name,

  • telephone number,

  • e-mail address,

  • requested storage unit size,

  • information provided in the note or message.

Telephone or E-mail Communication

  • first and last name,

  • telephone number,

  • e-mail address,

  • content of communication necessary for handling the enquiry.

Conclusion of a Contract

  • first and last name,

  • residential or registered address,

  • telephone number,

  • e-mail address,

  • invoicing details,

  • other data necessary for concluding and performing the contractual relationship.

4. Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

Personal data are processed in accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Pre-contractual Relations

The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

If you contact us through the contact form, by telephone or by e-mail, we process your data for the purpose of handling your enquiry and taking steps prior to entering into a contract.

Performance of a Contract

The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

The processing of personal data is necessary for the conclusion and performance of a rental agreement.

Compliance with Legal Obligations

The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

This includes obligations arising in particular from accounting, tax and related legal regulations.

Legitimate Interest

The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The Controller’s legitimate interest includes the protection of its rights, handling complaints, maintaining communication records and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.

5. Retention Period of Personal Data

Enquiries Submitted via Contact Form, E-mail or Telephone

If no rental agreement is concluded, personal data will be retained for a maximum period of 12 months from the last communication.

After this period, the data will be deleted.

Data Related to Rental Agreements

Personal data processed in connection with the conclusion and performance of a rental agreement are retained for the duration of the contractual relationship.

After termination of the contractual relationship, we retain only those data that we are required to retain under applicable legal regulations or that are necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Accounting and Tax Documents

Accounting and tax documents are retained for a period of 10 years in accordance with the applicable legal regulations of the Slovak Republic.

6. Recipients of Personal Data

Personal data may only be accessed by authorised persons designated by the Controller, in particular the company management and employees responsible for customer communication.

Personal data may also be disclosed, to the extent necessary, to:

  • web hosting providers,

  • e-mail service providers,

  • accounting companies or accountants,

  • public authorities where required by law.

Personal data are not provided to third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Transfer of Personal Data

Personal data are not transferred outside the European Union and are not provided to international organisations.

8. Rights of the Data Subject

In connection with the processing of personal data, you have the right to:

  • request access to your personal data,

  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data,

  • request erasure of personal data,

  • request restriction of processing,

  • object to processing,

  • request data portability,

  • lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Office of the Slovak Republic.

If you believe that the processing of your personal data is not in compliance with applicable legal regulations, you may lodge a complaint with:
